    • Working Together began during a residency in Paducah, Kentucky two years ago. During the residency, Tim and Sarah worked together on the mixed media panels as well as the enameled imagery. The intention of this collaboration was to marry their ways of working in the creative studio as they have in the other areas of their lives. While the work began centered around their time in Paducah, the imagery expanded to include their interests in textures, patterns, and layers.

    • At times, we have the expectation that our work will last forever or that it will at least outlast the maker. However, in some cases the physical piece itself is not meant to be lasting, but is instead meant to have a lasting effect, be it on a body, an environment, or a place. And while that piece might have an expiration date, the documentation of it is indeed lasting. Documenting, either with photography, video, drawings, or even effected objects such as material or clothing is as much an important aspect of making as the physical work.
